Briggs U.K. to Supply Yale Forklifts to Supply Chain Homebase

Briggs Equipment U.K. has signed a contract worth about £10 million (about U.S. $15.8 million) with Homebase, a DIY-oriented building supply company. Briggs will supply and maintain material handling equipment, including 170 Yale forklifts.

Briggs Equipment U.K. has signed a contract worth about £10 million (about U.S. $15.8 million) with Homebase, a DIY-oriented building supply company. Briggs will supply and maintain material handling equipment, including 170 Yale forklifts.

During the five-year period of the contract Briggs will supply a mixed Yale fleet across Homebase’s network of more than 350 stores in the U.K. and Ireland. The machines will be purchased, serviced and maintained by Briggs, which will also supply hand pallet trucks and a number of other items. Homebase currently operates a fleet of about 680 Yale forklifts, the company said.
