Deere’s G-Series motor graders include six models, ranging from 185 to 275 net hp with items such as a front- or mid-mount scarifier, or a rear ripper/scarifier. For road builders and larger site prep contractors, Grade Pro models have pattern fingertip controls, located on the armrest. The units are grade-control ready, and can accept Trimble or Topcon grade-control systems. Deere PowerTech Plus Tier-3 engines offer variable horsepower. Rear axles feature automatic differential lock, and the hydraulic clutch-style differential lock can be engaged during operation. Three of the six G-Series models have 6-wheel-drive, facilitating the ability to cut with power flowing to all wheels, improving traction and a 30-percent increase in tractive effort.
