Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Construction Equipment Rents last week released a new list of 118 allied vendors for North American rental franchises in the United States and Canada. The 75 franchised Volvo Rents stores purchase fleets and supplies from these companies at negotiated pricing.

“We go through a rigorous selection process that considers many factors, including franchisee recommendations; product quality, functionality and performance; safety; brand names, which are important to our customers; and product support,” said Galen Hopper, fleet purchasing manager of Volvo CE Rents.

Hopper also said all vendors on the list have agreed to provide quantity pricing and preferred service to Volvo Rents franchise owners.

Three sister Volvo companies (compact equipment, production equipment and road machinery including material handling) are also included on the list. According to Steve Fajardo, senior buyer for the company, Volvo equipment represents approximately one third of the Volvo Rents franchise inventory.

Volvo Rents is No. 16 on the RER 100.
