A-Plant, one of the United Kingdom’s largest rental companies recently launched the new third-generation version of the company’s real-time Extranet system, which makes it possible for customers to query and resolve their invoices online. The system automatically updates A-Plant’s credit services system, and is designed to ensure quicker resolution to queries.

A-Plant customers can view statements, sales invoices and produce a range of reports with improved search selection criteria. The Extranet can log onto any contract using handheld PDA terminals, showing, for example, the time a piece of equipment was delivered and the signature captured by the driver.

A-Plant’s system offers suppliers a similar portal, enabling them to view the status of their accounts and invoices and add comments that feed into the A-Plant purchase ledger query management system. Suppliers can also see which invoices are cleared for payment.
