Texada Names Swisher Chairman of the Board

Canadian software supplier Texada Corp. this week named former CEO Willie Swisher chairman of Texada’s board of directors. Swisher, who served as CEO from 2001 through the end of 2009, is currently president of Zenaida Capital Partners, a private investment and consulting business. Swisher takes over as chairman from Jim McInnins, who had served as chair since July 2009.

Swisher takes over as chairman from Jim McInnins, who had served as chair since July 2009.

The board also elected the following board members: Harry Jaako, John Kirincic, James Lolley, Jim McInnins, Swisher and current president and CEO Brian Spilak. Swisher previously served as a director of the company from 2002 to 2005.

“We are pleased with our operating performance in 2010 and look forward to enhancing our strategic plan in the third quarter with Willie Swisher back on our team,” said Spilak. “Willie has vast connectivity and experience in our industries of focus, which will bode well for all stakeholders of Texada.”

Swisher said he looks forward to working with Spilak and the entire management team, including in the areas of strategic initiatives and new customer acquisition.

Specializing in producing software for equipment rental and mobile asset management, Texada is based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
