Terex Construction Americas this week named Albuquerque, N.M.-based Tractor Service a full-line distributor of Terex compact construction equipment, including skid steers, compact track loaders, wheel loaders, excavators and loader backhoes, to professional contractors in New Mexico.

Terex Construction Americas this week named Albuquerque, N.M.-based Tractor Service a full-line distributor of Terex compact construction equipment, including skid steers, compact track loaders, wheel loaders, excavators and loader backhoes, to professional contractors in New Mexico. In addition to sales and rental opportunities, Tractor Service will provide customers with parts, service and warranty support, as well as financing options, on the Terex product line.

“The Terex product line complements their existing heavy equipment product portfolio and allows them to cater to their landscaping, dirt-work, utility, highway and general construction customers' smaller equipment needs,” said Dean Barley, vice president and general manager, Terex Construction Americas and Global Aftermarket.

According to owner Lawrence Olguin, there is a market for compact equipment in the area, and Tractor Service was impressed with the competitive features and pricing of Terex machines, as well as its good reputation in the industry.

“Tractor Service has expanded its operations to accommodate taking on the Terex line and best serving our customers, including setting up a larger parts department, opening up an additional 0.75-acre lot to showcase yard inventory and equipping the company’s two field service trucks with parts for the Terex models,” said Olguin.

Terex also added Fargo, N.D.-based Titan Machinery as a distributor of its articulated and rigid trucks in its more than 40 construction equipment locations in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. In addition to sales and rental opportunities, Titan Machinery will provide parts, service and warranty support for Terex trucks by factory-trained technicians, as well as financing options to qualified customers.

Founded in 1980, Titan Machinery has grown to a network of nearly 100 full-service locations in nine states. Today, they serve customers in the commercial and residential construction markets, as well as road and highway construction, oil and gas exploration and mining applications.

“Our goal at Titan Machinery is to be a full line construction equipment distributor, and the Terex line of articulated and rigid trucks offers us the opportunity to help meet our customers’ demand by filling a gap in our product line,” said Mike Hall, Titan Machinery’s senior marketing manager. “With an excellent parts and service network from Terex, as well as product availability and outstanding after-sales support, this will be a long-term relationship focused on serving our customers’ needs and achieving our company’s strategic business goals.”
