Kobelco to Break Ground on Permanent U.S. Headquarters

Nov. 26, 2013

Kobelco announced it will break ground on a permanent U.S. headquarters in Katy, Texas, in December. The 101,300-square-foot facility will also serve as the company’s training center and parts distribution location for the United States, Canada and Latin America.

“The new facility being built will allow us to continue our rapid growth,” said Ron Hargrave, vice president of sales and marketing for Kobelco Construction Machinery USA. “We are pleased to once again be offering our products as an independent brand and are working diligently to ensure Kobelco positions itself to gain continued market share moving forward.”

Kobelco is also investing heavily in its planned presence at ConExpo/ConAgg 2014 as an independent brand after a 10-year hiatus, showing crawler excavators and a new line of demolition machines.

Kobelco produces a range of crawler excavators from 3,000 to 180,000 pounds.
