King Crane Helping Build Large Santa Clara County Data Center

San Jose, Calif.-based King Crane is providing rental equipment to help build one of California’s largest data centers on 17.2 acres in Santa Clara Valley. The data center, named SC1, will ultimately comprise 360,000 square feet and have total power capacity of 26 megawatts.

San Jose, Calif.-based King Crane is providing rental equipment to help build one of California’s largest data centers on 17.2 acres in Santa Clara Valley. The data center, named SC1, will ultimately comprise 360,000 square feet and have total power capacity of 26 megawatts.

King is responsible for transporting and setting all of the centers’ large transformers, chillers, breakers, switch gear and mechanical systems. The Data Center is expected to open its doors in early 2011.

King Crane is among the largest crane companies in Northern California. It provides hoisting and lifting solutions for the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. King Crane was also recently named one of the Safest Crane and Rigging Companies in California, based on its Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of .69.
