Hertz Q2 Profit Rises

Hertz Global Holdings last week said its second-quarter profit rose because of a vacation-policy adjustment. Net income jumped to $83.7 million, 26 cents per share, compared to $17.8 million or 8 cents per share for the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter increased to $2.18 billion, with worldwide equipment rental sales rising 3 percent to $433 million.
