H&E Equipment Services has appointed Fred Ransom regional vice president, mid-Atlantic north region. As vice president, mid-Atlantic north region, Ransom will oversee the full-service operations in the area, directing all rentals, sales, parts and service initiatives.
Ransom has more than 30 years of senior management experience in the equipment rental industry, streamlining operational efficiencies. His focus and strengths are related to rapidly gaining market share for start-up, turnaround, and fast-growing organizations. He has a consistent record of delivering strong, sustainable revenue and profit gains through strategic business planning, talent development, market knowledge and relationship building, H&E said.
Before joining H&E, Ransom was regional vice president for United Rentals. Before joining United, Ransom held senior management positions at Rental Tools & Equipment Co.
Based in Baton Rouge, La., H&E Equipment Services is celebrating its 50-year anniversary in 2011. The company is No. 12 on the RER 100.
