Workx, a Dutch rental company based in Zwolte, Netherlands, has hired former RSC Equipment Rental CEO Tom Zorn as CEO, owner Arjan Jansen told RER. Zorn last week began his duties overseeing the operations of the fast-growing 56-branch rental company.

Zorn served as CEO of RSC for about a two-year period between June 2004 and 2006. He began his career with RSC as chief operating officer in June 2003. Zorn has a BA in economics and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He held various positions with the Ford Motor Co., and from 1996 was responsible for the Budget Truck Rental division. He held executive positions with Security Capital Group, a subsidiary of GE Capital, and was president of Ryder Truck Rental.

“From the time we met, our relationship just clicked immediately,” Jansen told RER. “I asked if he would be interested in coming to work in the Netherlands, then I made him an offer and he came to work with us.”

Workx has a wide-ranging construction-oriented inventory including specialty areas such as scaffolding, bridgework and aerial work platforms.
