Jim Lewis, former owner of Rent-A-Tool/Sprague Rents in Monterey Park and a former California Rental Association board member died last week of cancer at the age of 77.
Lewis and his wife Betty owned and operated the rental company for more than 30 years. The company is now operated by their daughter Shelly and her husband Alyn Halstrum.
Lewis is also survived by daughter Robin Vielhauer, sons Brent and Terry Lewis, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
