Cross Country Pipeline Supply Names Plescia, Former HERC President, CEO

Cross Country Pipeline Supply Co., an equipment and supplies provider to the domestic oil-and-gas pipeline construction industry, has named Gerald “Gerry” Plescia its new CEO. Plescia most recently served as a managing partner with PH Global Consulting.

Best known to the equipment rental industry as former president of Hertz Equipment Rental Corp, Plescia has more than three decades of experience at Hertz. With his history of executing successful organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions, Plescia is expected to build on Cross Country’s strong position as a key supplier to the expanding domestic oil-and-gas pipeline construction industry.

In the coming weeks and months, Plescia, along with John James, Cross Country president and its executive team, will outline plans to further build strong relationships with customers, execute on current projects, and pursue a range of growth opportunities.

As managing partner with PH Global Consulting, Plescia served as a strategic consultant for private equity firms focusing on construction and industrial services companies. As president of HERC, Plescia oversaw meaningful growth and successful acquisitions of various sizes.

Cross Country is based in Aurora, Colo., with branches in Pennsylvania and Texas. The company rents dozers, excavators, low-boy trailers, motor graders, pipelayers, skid-steer loaders, telehandlers, trenchers, beveling equipment, pipe cutters, inspection and test equipment, vacu-lifters and more.
