The Concrete Industry Management program, a business intensive program that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management, is seeking donations for its fourth annual auction, to be held at the World of Concrete Thursday Feb. 5, 2009.

The 2008 auction raised about $540,000, and organizers hope to top it. The money will benefit the CIM National Steering Committee and support the CIM programs at Middle Tennessee St. University, Arizona St. University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and California St. University at Chico. Items auctioned in 2008 include a concrete mixer truck, concrete saws, drills, mixers, vibrators, scaffolding, safety equipment, screeds, fiber transport systems, dust collectors, NDT equipment, decorative concrete tools, water meters, pumps, generators, training sessions, reference books, advertisements, laptop computers, tickets to sporting events and sports memorabilia, and sports travel, golf school and vacation packages. Anyone interested in donating should contact Wally Johnson at [email protected].
