Bobcat Co. last week announced new dealerships in Fort Wayne, Ind., Oxford, Miss., and Monroe, La.
Buddy Funk is the new owner and president of Bobcat of Fort Wayne — an authorized sales, service, parts and rental provider of Bobcat equipment in Indiana. With more than 15 years of in-the-field-training, Funk has cultivated lasting relationships with Bobcat of Fort Wayne customers. Funk’s new role will enable him to implement the ideas of the dealership’s diverse customer base — including those invested in the surrounding area’s general construction, agricultural, municipal and industrial markets.
Funk recently purchased an adjacent plot of land to allow for an expansion of the dealership’s rental fleet. He expects to implement a number of changes to take place across the company’s sales, service and parts departments in the near future as well.
“Over the years, various members of my family have worked for Bobcat Company in one capacity or another,” Funk said. “I’m looking forward to growing the brand through my deep understanding of Bobcat products as well as individual customers’ equipment needs.”
Bobcat also added Williams Equipment and Supply Co. as an authorized sales, service, parts and rental provider of Bobcat equipment in Oxford, Miss, and Monroe, La. With 10 locations spanning Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana, Williams Equipment and Supply provides construction, concrete and masonry supplies and equipment throughout the Mid-South region.
The Oxford branch opened as an extension of the dealership’s existing locations more than 15 years ago.
“Despite the recent addition of Bobcat products at our Oxford location, customers in the area are well-acquainted with the brand’s quality line of offerings, previously purchasing and renting Bobcat equipment from other dealerships in the region,” said Gordon McIntyre, president of Williams Equipment and Supply.
The company’s roots in Louisiana date back to 1950 when H.S. Finke founded a construction supply business in New Orleans and soon after partnered with James Williams to form Finke and Williams Inc., which pioneered the rental of construction equipment throughout the region.
Following its recent acquisition of an existing dealership in Monroe, La., Williams Equipment and Supply Co. of Louisiana is now better able to provide contractors across northern Louisiana with construction supplies and equipment — ranging from concrete and masonry grout products and waterproofing solutions to Bobcat skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders and compact excavators.
