All Star Rents Opens Branch in Elk Grove, Calif.

April 7, 2014

All Star Rents, northern California’s largest family-owned equipment rental company, will open its 12th location April 14 in Elk Grove, Calif., a suburb of Sacramento. The new branch is located at a former recycling center.

The 12 All Star Rents locations are spread across northern California from the San Francisco Bay Area to Nevada. All the branches rent a full selection of tools and equipment for the contractor and homeowner, as well as some party items. All Star Rents is also the Lavina concrete-polishing distributor for northern California.

“We are optimistic about the Elk Grove market and have been looking for the right opportunity here for about three years,” said John Wooten, All Star CEO.

Wooten said All Star is the only full-line equipment rental store in Elk Grove. The new manager will be Steve Blanc, who has worked as a manager for All Star since 2007. Blanc resides in Elk Grove. The facility features a 7,200-square-foot shop and showroom on two acres of land, and also has a drive-through feature for covered loading and unloading.

All Star Rents, based in Fairfield, Calif., began operations in 1962 founded by Ted de Vries, who was inducted into the American Rental Association Hall of Fame in 2005. The company is now managed in part, by third-generation family members.

All Star Rents has been listed numerous times on the RER 100 and is currently ranked No. 105.
