Volvo CE introduces a new generation of its Volvo-Advanced Combustion Technology engines, which are engineered to offer combustion efficiency, emissions reduction and improved engine performance. The new engines feature ultra-high-pressure, variable fuel-injection systems, super-efficient cooled exhaust gas recirculation, precise control of the superchargers, new EMS engine-management systems and an integrated exhaust after-treatment system that features a particulate filter and thermal regenerator. The new Volvo system uses an advanced exhaust after-treatment system that reduces particulate matter by 90 percent compared to the previous machine series.
