RJS Construction Group, a general contractor based in Superior, Wis., recently established a crane rental affiliate RJS Industrial Services Group, according to businessnorth.com, an online news service covering northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Finding reduced demand for its fleet of rock-crushing equipment, RJS sold those assets and upgraded its fleet of cranes, which it has since rented for bridge repair, pipeline and wind farm construction.
RJS, which also rents earthmoving equipment, said its revenues from the cranes were significant in its first full year of operation.
