Point-of-Rental Software was one of nine finalists competing for the Cloud Innovator of the Year title in the Innovation World Cup Awards on July 8 at the Google headquarters in New York. The Cup identifies advancements in cloud computing with the goal of fostering cutting-edge solutions. Point-of-Rental CLOUD, a rental and inventory management software, was chosen as a finalist out of 312 software products from 59 countries, with AloTech from Turkey winning the top award.

Based in Grand Prairie, Texas, Point-of-Rental offers a suite of software that caters to rental and inventory management needs.

“It’s always an honor to be recognized for our work,” said Point-of-Rental CEO Wayne Harris, who represented the company at the Google event. “But when other innovators take notice, it’s particularly rewarding. Although we didn’t claim the title this year, we are proud of our team and the great product we have developed.”

Initiated by Navispace, the Innovation World Cup Series was launched in 2009. Contestants from more than 60 countries have submitted cloud-based solutions.

Point-of-Rental Software, founded in 1983, is listed by Inc. 5000 as one of America’s fastest private growing companies.
