Haulotte China has delivered 16 mobile elevating work platforms to the new Beijing Daxing Airport. Set to open later this year, Daxing International Airport will become the world’s largest airport, and during the construction much attention was placed on environmental aspects. Because of those considerations, the Haulotte H20 LE was chosen, the company said. Its all-electric architecture offers silent operation indoors or outdoors on any surface, with no harmful emissions.

The oscillating axle and four-wheel drive provide optimal adherence and stability, the company said. Ultra-fast elevation speed, 360-degree continuous turret rotation and simultaneous movements improve productivity. The HA20LE enables a full day’s work in electric mode. An on-board range extender is designed to rapidly recharge the high-capacity batteries while the machine remains operational.

In addition to two electric articulating booms, the Chinese subsidiary delivered four other articulating booms (HA12 IP, HA15 IP and HA 41 RTI Pro), two lightweight self-propelled booms (55XA) two vertical masts (Star 10) and six scissorlifts (Compact 14).

“We are pleased to be part of this gigantic project, which highlights the quality of our machines and services,” said Tim Mo, marketing manager, Haulotte China.
