Skyjack

The new A-Series articulating boomlifts from Skyjack are available in two configurations featuring the 46AJ model with jib (pictured) or the 46A with no jib. Both models also feature a standard equipped, 360-degree continuous turret rotation. Zero tail swing complements the unique turret design allowing for flexible operation in tight locations. Positive traction and ability to be used in a variety of terrains are provided by the axle-based 4-wheel drive used in many of Skyjack's product designs, which accounts for a low maintenance, rugged and reliable drive train. Other key features include direction-sensing drive and steer controls; true vertical rise with riser function, which prevents drifting forward or backwards; analog-based controls; and Skyjack's standard color-coded and numbered wiring system.

Snorkel

The Snorkel AB46 articulating boomlift is available in 2-wheel-drive electric and 4-wheel-drive diesel engine versions for indoor and outdoor operations. The AB46JRT (pictured) is a 4-wheel-drive lift with oscillating axles and a tight inside turning circle of 32 inches. The articulating boom is powered by two separate pumps for multi-function operation, with enhanced maneuverability through a 5-foot jib. The boom provides a platform height of up to 46 feet, 11 inches and up-and-over horizontal outreach of 24 feet, 11 inches with zero-tail swing on the turret.

JLG Industries

The JLG Model 2630ES is the industry's only 30-inch-wide scissorlift with a platform height of 25 feet, 6 inches, according to the company. Part of the five-model ES Series, the 2630ES machines have front-wheel drive and steering for a zero-degree inside turning radius, and feature 3.5-inch ground clearance with 25 percent gradeability so they clear doorway thresholds and can be driven onto trailers and rollback trucks. The ES Series features an electric drive system that uses two independent electric motors for the drive wheels. The drive system provides up to twice the duty cycles of other models and lowers noise levels by eliminating the power loss associated with pumps, hoses and hydraulic motors.

Genie Industries

Genie's newly redesigned S-80 and S-85 (pictured) telescopic booms feature fixed-width axles; an exclusive virtual pivot boom assembly; faster elevation time; improved software design for smoother, more comfortable operation; and intuitive operator and serviceability features. The fixed width axles give the machines an 8-foot, 2-inch total width both on the trailer and on the jobsite. The booms can be easily transported over the road without a special permit on a standard equipment trailer. The primary benefit of a virtual pivot boom is its ability to keep the weight of the boom over the chassis' center of gravity as it elevates. This eliminates the need for extra counterweight and keeps the overall weight of the machine down for better use in more sensitive terrains.
