Less is More for MEC’s First All-Electric 10-Foot Scissor Lift

The new eco-friendly scissor lift has an ultra-compact design and eliminates the potential risk of oil leaks for environmentally sensitive applications due to zero hydraulic oil with all-electric lift, steer, and drive.

MEC Aerial Work Platforms announced the launch of its newest innovation in scissor lifts aimed to prove less is often more. MEC engineers designed the company’s first all-electric scissor – the NANO10-XD. The new eco-friendly scissor lift has an ultra-compact design and eliminates the potential risk of oil leaks for environmentally sensitive applications due to zero hydraulic oil with all-electric lift, steer, and drive.

The NANO10-XD delivers extended battery duty cycle with standard lithium-ion batteries while requiring less charge time and delivering more up time with no compromise to performance. With a platform height of 10 feet, the new scissor is designed for work in data centers, hospitality, food, and pharmaceutical applications. Along with being lightweight at 1,235 pounds and low ground pressure, the machine is designed for standard elevators and utilization across a wide range of floor types. At 63 inches tall and with no folding rails, it is able to get through standard door frames.

The new NANO10-XD comes with a standard Xtra Deck to get through 2-foot x 2-foot ceiling grids and use in hard-to-reach areas.

“We took a fresh look into the Low-Level access segment and what constituted as a true solution to the ‘Ladders Last’ commitment,” said Gary Crook, vice president of engineering. “It became clear that not only should the risks of using a ladder be mitigated but productivity needed to be an integral ingredient to the recipe. The NANO10-XD brings the quantum leap in productivity over ladders and push around lifts that is a self-propelled MEWP in a package more compact than ever before.”

The NANO10-XD will be as strong contributor to the market’s drive for sustainability and eco-friendly solutions. Along with being all-electric, the new NANO10-XD will work on floors previously prohibited for self-propelled machines in tight rooms or corridors inaccessible until now. As an ultra-lightweight self-propelled alternative, the NANO10-XD is the safer solution to reduce jobsite injuries from ladders and push around lifts.
